Saturday Morning Meeting in Gramercy Park

We woke up bleary-eyed this morning around 8:30am to hightail it over to Gramercy Park for a meeting with the Sunday morning Calvary crew. Mel (of Mel and Liza) was waiting with a tray of perfect-sized coffee cups from 71 Irving (one of our old favorites from freshman year!) and a bag full of breakfast bagels and farmers' muffins. The morning was glorious and the park was the perfect place to go over details for tomorrow's Sunday School kickoff. After that, we (Esther is the girl in the yellow backpack) hit a few loved haunting grounds of ours: the Green Market and Fish's Eddy. Esther was on the hunt for the perfect glass carafe, and we had to sample the newest harvest of Honeycrisp apples!

Nothing came home with us from Fish's Eddy, but we were eyeing some pale blue dishes and ceramic mason jars...the matchboxes were pretty irresistible, too. Oh, we'll be back!
